Our Board of Directors
The Tangipahoa Voluntary Council on Aging is directed by volunteer Board of Directors who are committed to serving the needs of the seniors in Tangipahoa Parish. The board meets every other month to help set policy and direction for the programs and services offered by the Council on Aging.

Board of Directors Election and Terms
Each Tangipahoa Parish Council Member appoints a representative from their district. These ten members along with three at-large members and two representatives of agencies who serve the elderly are then elected by a general membership vote.
Each Board member can serve two, three-year terms for a total of six consecutive years.
Becoming a Board Member
Anyone interested in serving on the Board should contact a current Board member or the Executive Director to be placed on the ballot.
Meeting Dates
The Board meets on the Third Tuesday of every other month at 8:30 am. The meetings are held each month at the Independence Senior Center, 473 W. Railroad Avenue in Independence.
